In December, Red Budd Holy Church along with the Community Development Center sponsored a coat drive. Thank you to Red Budd Holy Church for allowing The Community Development Center to participate. Through the generosity of the community, 416 local children received winter coats.

In August, Fountain of Life Church in Rocky Mount, along with the Community Development Center, sponsored a book bag drive to help ease the burden of back-to-school costs for local parents.

In November, the Community Development Center had the pleasure of serving as one of the sponsors and participating in the 1st Annual Brelyn Moses Turkey Drive. More than 49 turkeys were distributed to seniors and families in need throughout the area.

Accomplishments

January, February, and March of 2025

Community Development hosted an empowerment luncheon for seniors. We were honored with Joann Wolfe, Program Manager of the National Council on Aging as our keynote speaker. There were 62 seniors in attendance.
